Important Update!!! Arcata School District Schools (AES, SBMS, and our Extended Day and Preschool Programs) will be closed Thursday, 10/10/19, due to the ongoing power outage. Please help us spread the word! Please check back Thursday afternoon for an update regarding school being open on Friday. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Important Transportation Update!!! ASD bus routes remain cancelled, but arrangements have been made to transport as many students as possible.

Due to normal turnover and program expansion we have several openings at both Sunny Brae and Arcata Elementary. The Arcata School District is seeking enthusiastic individuals to become part of our family, where students are safe, happy, and growing socially, emotionally and academically every day.
Qualified applicants must:
-Have at least two years of higher education or have passed the paraprofessional test
-Relate well with students, teachers, staff, and parents

No retirement or health benefits

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Arcata School District bus routes are cancelled for Tuesday, March 19th. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes families. We appreciate your patience and understanding. The Northern Humboldt Manila bus route, the walking school bus, and the extended day school bus ARE NOT CANCELLED.

The 2019-20 school year schedule is due no later than June 12th . Schedules are available on line in the registration section of this web site , at the program , or in the school office. Every year families loose their spot for failure to turn in this schedule. Don't be that family!
